Chad Johnson
Chad is a business man, spa owner and a sales and event leader. He helped us ground our idea and gave us insights on making it more realistic. He gave us ideas such as: using red LED lights because they use the least amount of energy, using a pancake motor on our photovoltaic flower-bot, looking into geographical angles of the sun, and gave us a realistic estimate of how large our panels are going to have to be. Ultimately, he was a very good resource for our group and we hope to continue working with him in the future.
Scott Robertson
Scott is a business man who studied philosophy at Augsburg college and enjoys travelling. From San Francisco to Spain, he has gained many insights about the world over time. In our meeting he brought our attention to the psychological aspect our project. He references a study done on how ice crystals change shape when affected by positive and negative energies and suggested we see if the same pattern appears in plants. He was very supportive and helpful in progressing our idea of an installation and definitely brought new concepts to our attention.
Jean Larson
Jean manages the Nature-Based Therapeutic at the Minnesota Arboretum. Her knowledge of plants helped guide us in pursuing the "Big Idea" of our project. She assisted us in looking at the architectural design of our installation and investigating the use of fractals. She also pointed out the political side of our project, prior to this meeting we didn't realize how big of a statement our ideas are. She also gave us ideas in places and various designs to look at. Jean was very helpful for our group and we look forward to working with her in the future.
